Suárez: El mercado hispano y latino seguirán siendo un motor cada día más importante

Andrea Suárez, president of world markets at IPG Mediabrands, presented PRODU with a balance for 2012 while detailing new advantages the firm will offer the industry throughout the region this year.“With regard to the U.S. Hispanic market, the most important has been seeing how the media spend ever more time and resources on understanding and getting to know in depth who is the real Hispanic consumer right now. Latinos of the new millennium seem to be changing the way the market and media see Hispanic-Americans. Latinos of the new millennium represent a generation that preserves its Latino roots, but at the same time is more ‘American’ than older generations,” Suárez said.About how well Mediabrands did in 2012, the executive said it was a year of achievement and growth in all aspects of the business, both in the development of core services, a burgeoning portfolio of clients, and the introduction of specialized business units.“For 2013, one of Mediabrands’ biggest goals is to continue expanding its specialized services, both in Latin America and in other developing markets. As for the industry in general, the Hispanic market will continue to be a force that is more and more important for the economy both in the United States and the rest of the world,” Suárez said.
